Dr. Tad James began developing Time Line Therapy at the end of the last century.
His knowledge base rests on the ideas of classical NLP. He worked with classical NLP for years and was even close to the founders of the method. Over the years, James discovered that many NLP processes can be more effective when a timeline is used as a metaphor.
In this way, a person imagines a line of time holding the past, the present and the future. Fast journeys along this timeline have the power to bring about far-reaching changes in their life.
Dr. Tad James and Adriana James continue to develop Time Line Therapy to this day. The therapeutic process is similar to classical NLP in its basic tools and underlying presuppositions, but differs from classical NLP in its therapeutic structure.
Time Line TherapyTM treatment is usually delivered in a “breakthrough session.” It is a single session with the client that can run 8–10 hours straight, in which many short processes based on the timeline are delivered.
The idea behind a “breakthrough session” is that the client has “no time” between sessions to slip back into old patterns. Here, in one intensive session, the many different aspects of the problem are addressed, and the client leaves at the end knowing that the problem has been resolved completely.
Sounds magical? It truly is.
Retter College teaches the method as part of its two-year track for training NLP and guided imagery therapists.
Daphna and Amir Retter, the college's directors, have been treating clients with this method for the past several years, with far-reaching success. You are welcome to contact the college offices for details, and for an assessment of whether this breakthrough treatment is right for you.
